SECTION 01

About Our Service

FusionLabs3D provides custom 3D printing services using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology for engineering prototypes, functional parts, and project components.

All quotes and estimates are calculated using Orca Slicer based on your provided STL/3MF file. We are not a certified aerospace or medical manufacturing facility — parts are printed to specification but are not validated for safety-critical structural applications unless explicitly discussed and approved in writing beforehand.

SECTION 02

Materials & Availability

Available Materials — In Stock, Ready to Print:

PLA PETG ABS ASA

Special Order Materials (7–10 Day Lead Time):

PA6-CF (Carbon Fiber Nylon) TPU 95A (Flexible Elastomer)
SECTION 03

Pricing Model

Base Price = Total Material Weight (g) × Per-Gram Rate (ƒ)

The total material weight includes:

  • Your 3D model itself
  • All required support structures
  • Purge / transition waste (for multicolor or composite prints)
  • Prime tower material (if applicable)

All of this is calculated accurately by Orca Slicer and weighed in your final quote.

Example: A 50g statue requiring supports and prime tower weighing 112g total would be quoted as: 112g × current per-gram price of material.
SECTION 04

Machine Time Surcharge

Print time estimates are based on Orca Slicer calculations. A surcharge applies if print time exceeds the baseline:

Baseline (Hours) = (Total Weight in grams ÷ 100) × 7 hours
Surcharge = ₹15 per hour for every hour over baseline

* Baseline and surcharge rates may vary for materials other than PLA.

Example Calculation:
Part weight: 114g (total, including supports)
Baseline print time: (114 ÷ 100) × 7 = 7.98 hours
Actual print time (from slicer): 9.00 hours
Overage: 9.00 − 7.98 = 1.02 hours
Surcharge: 1.02 × ₹15 = ₹15.30
SECTION 05

Multicolor & Multi-Material Printing

If you request multicolor or multi-material printing:

  • All material used — primary part, secondary colors/materials, purge waste, and prime tower — is charged at the applicable per-gram rate for each material.
  • Multicolor processing fee: ₹50 flat fee per job for filament setup, swaps, and color management (may vary based on order quantity).
Example: A two-color part (PLA primary 80g + PLA secondary 20g + 12g purge waste = 112g total) at ₹4/g + ₹50 setup fee = (112 × 4) + 50 = ₹498 total.
SECTION 06

Payment Terms

  • 50% deposit required upfront to begin material allocation and printing queue scheduling. This deposit is non-refundable once printing has started.
  • 50% final payment due within 24 hours of part approval (see photo approval process below).
  • Shipping: Quoted and charged separately at actual courier cost (Speed Post, Blue Dart, DTDC, or equivalent).
  • Accepted Payment Methods: UPI and bank transfer. Bank details will be provided in your quote/invoice. Card payments available upon request (processed via third-party gateway once available).
SECTION 07

Photo Approval Process

After your part is printed, cleaned, and inspected:

  • We send you high-resolution photos of the finished part from multiple angles (top, isometric, dimensional critical areas).
  • You have 3 days (including all working and non-working calendar days) to review and either:
    • Approve the part explicitly, or
    • Flag a manufacturing defect with specific photos/description (see defect criteria in Section 8).
  • If no response is received within 3 days, the part is automatically considered approved.
  • Final payment is due within 24 hours of approval (or after the 3-day window expires if no response).
Post-Window Review Policy: Defect claims after the 3-day window may be reviewed at FusionLabs3D's discretion, but are not guaranteed to be honored if the part was already considered approved or shipped.
SECTION 08

Valid Defect-Based Rejection Grounds

The following manufacturing defects are grounds for a free reprint or full refund (customer's choice):

  • Visible layer separation or delamination affecting structural integrity or intended mechanical function.
  • Excessive warping that visibly deviates from the intended geometry (minor warping within normal FDM tolerance — up to ±0.3mm — is not grounds for rejection).
  • Cracks, breaks, or fractures present in the finished part before dispatch.
  • Wrong material used (if a different polymer than quoted was printed).
  • Significant dimensional deviation from your provided file beyond standard FDM tolerance (±0.2–0.3mm per wall).
  • Incomplete or failed print where the delivered part does not match what was approved in the photo review.
SECTION 09

Non-Refundable Customer-Side Issues

The following do not qualify for rejection, reprint, or refund:

  • Change of mind about the design, color, material, or intended use after approving print photos.
  • Design errors in the customer's file (non-manifold geometry, thin walls <1mm, unprintable overhangs, broken mesh surfaces) that were printed correctly per file specification.
  • Normal FDM additive characteristics, including:
    • Visible layer lines
    • Minor color batch-to-batch variation from filament manufacturers
    • Standard dimensional tolerances (±0.2–0.3mm per wall)
    • Surface roughness typical of FDM thermoplastic extrusion
  • Parts damaged during customer handling, secondary machining, or shipping (if customer arranges their own courier).
SECTION 10

Dimensional Tolerances & Design Responsibility

FDM Printing Tolerances:

Standard FDM achieves ±0.2–0.3mm tolerance per wall. Tighter tolerances (±0.1mm or better) are possible on select features but require extended print times, slower acceleration, and specialized orientation/support structures — these incur a surcharge and must be discussed and approved before quoting.

Your Responsibility (Customer):

  • You confirm your file is manifold (water-tight) and designed for 3D printing (no floating geometry, minimum wall thickness ≥1.0mm, printable overhangs).
  • You are responsible for verifying your design before submitting — we will flag obvious issues during DFM review but cannot validate engineering intent, mechanical fit, or third-party assembly requirements.
  • FusionLabs3D is not liable for structural failures caused by design flaws in your file.

Our Responsibility (FusionLabs3D):

  • We will print your file accurately to specification using the material and slicer profile you approved.
  • We provide a complimentary DFM review flagging wall thickness, unsupported overhangs, and print orientation.
  • We are liable for defects caused by printing error, machine malfunction, or material extrusion defects (per Section 8).
SECTION 11

Complimentary DFM (Design for Manufacturing) Review

Upon receiving your CAD model, we provide a complimentary technical DFM review, noting:

  • Minimum wall thickness and thin-feature warnings
  • Unsupported overhangs or critical bridges requiring support
  • Potential first-layer bed adhesion or warping risks
  • Suggested orientation for maximum mechanical strength or reduced support scarring
  • Estimated print time and material weight (calculated in Orca Slicer)

Note: This review is advisory only. You decide whether to implement recommendations. Printing proceeds on your approved final file.

SECTION 12

Not for Safety-Critical Applications

Unless explicitly tested, certified, and approved in writing:

  • Parts are suitable for engineering prototypes, display models, fit-checks, robotics research, and non-structural testing only.
  • Parts are not warrantied for use in safety-critical, load-bearing life-safety, or regulated applications (e.g., automotive brake assemblies, aircraft flight-critical structures, medical implants, high-pressure vessels).
  • If your intended application is safety-critical or load-bearing, notify us before quoting so we can discuss appropriate material selection and testing parameters.
SECTION 13

Quote Validity

All quotations are valid for 5 calendar days from the date issued. After 5 days, material stock, pricing, or machine queue lead times may change; a refreshed quote will be provided upon request.

SECTION 14

Lead Times

  • In-Stock Materials (PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA): 2–5 business days from deposit received to photo approval.
  • Special Order Materials (PA6-CF, TPU 95A): 7–10 business days from deposit received to photo approval (includes material procurement and drying cycle).
  • Rush Orders: Available upon machine capacity; may incur a +15% to +25% rush queue surcharge.

* Lead times are engineering estimates. Unforeseen equipment maintenance or material batch delays will be communicated within 24 hours.

SECTION 15

Storage & Unclaimed Parts

Completed parts held for local pickup or pending final courier details that are not collected within 15 days of completion notification may be recycled or disposed of at FusionLabs3D's discretion. No refund will be issued for unclaimed, disposed parts. If extended holding is required, notify us in advance.

SECTION 16

Color & Batch Variation

Filament color can vary slightly between manufacturing batches from raw polymer suppliers, even under the same product SKU. Minor shade variations do not constitute a defect and do not qualify for rejection or refund. If exact Pantone/color matching is critical, please notify us prior to quoting.

SECTION 17

Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

  • You confirm that you own or possess legal rights/licenses to fabricate the provided 3D model.
  • FusionLabs3D does not claim any intellectual property ownership of your design or final physical part.
  • We may photograph completed prints for technical portfolio or social media showcase (without revealing identifying customer markings or proprietary internal geometries) unless you explicitly request a strict NDA/confidentiality hold in writing prior to printing.
SECTION 18

Limitation of Liability

FusionLabs3D's total liability for any order is strictly limited to the amount paid by the customer for that specific order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or failure of printed parts — including damage to customer machinery, assembly projects, schedules, or third-party property.

FusionLabs3D manufactures to file specification and applies diligent quality checks, but is not responsible for part failures caused by mechanical overloading, thermal misuse, exposure to non-specified chemicals, or application beyond intended design parameters.

SECTION 19

Cancellation Policy

  • Before Printing Begins: Full refund of deposit, minus a 10% administrative processing fee.
  • After Printing Has Started: The 50% deposit is non-refundable (covers allocated filament and machine time). Remaining 50% balance remains due upon part completion.
  • Cancellations Due to FusionLabs3D Error: Full refund of both deposit and any paid balances if we are unable to fulfill the job to agreed specifications.
SECTION 20

Dispute Resolution

In case of a dispute or concern:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photographs and description of the issue.
  • We will investigate and respond within 48 hours with a technical resolution (complimentary reprint, refund, or engineering explanation).
  • We aim to resolve genuine issues quickly and fairly — our goal is a dependable, high-quality prototype you are satisfied with, not a dispute over technicalities.
